Director, Benefits

The Director, Benefits will lead the strategic direction for benefit programs and in alignment with key business objectives.   This role will manage the implementation and operation of benefit programs and provide consultative services to senior leadership and HR colleagues. Negotiates coverage, services, and costs with benefit carriers and brokers. Assures compliance with all legal requirements of various employee benefit programs and prepares and files required legal reports. Builds a great team. #Zip #CB   Responsibilities:  Responsible for the oversight and operations of all benefit programs and plans including health, retirement and leave programs; ensures compliance and effective operation of benefit vendors; reviews and authorizes monthly benefit expenses. Lead the Benefits Team in the day-to-day administration, planning, and development of all benefits programs. Coach, mentor, train and develop Benefits Team members. Drive the development and implementation of multi-year benefits strategy balancing emerging trends, market competitiveness and cost. Develop and manage the annual benefits budget while making recommendations for better cost controls, monitoring, and processes; works toward out-sourcing of appropriate tasks and transactions. Enhance employee benefits and retirement plan communications including standard annual communications and messages to ensure benefits are understood and valued. Ensure the organization is current with all regulatory compliance requirements by maintaining a strict compliance schedule and continually assessing the company's benefit plans and processes. Participates on Retirement Committee, preparing presentations, and organizing meetings. Works with Investment Advisor on execution of strategies approved by Retirement Committee. Executes Wellness program and strategy. Manage vendor relationships and negotiate renewals with third-party providers. Make recommendations for changes in policies and procedures based on research findings and other data collection methods, with a focus on continuous quality improvement. Partner with HRIS on the optimization of the Human Resource system, provide the best tools to enable HRprocesses, data analytics and reporting. Experience leading and executing an RFP process and system integration a plus   Optimize the use of technology to minimize transactional activity. Work with colleagues and systems staff to identify problems, suggest solutions, and determine associated costs. Focus on providing outstanding HR system delivery and customer service to our organization. Ensure data integrity and the accuracy and integrity of interfaces within HR related systems Build and maintain effective internal and external partnerships through exceptional customer service. Required Skills Bachelor's degree in a related field Ten or more years of progressive leadership experience with at least 5 in the benefits field Strong organizational, project management and execution skills are needed along with a demonstrated ability to prioritize and drive multiple projects simultaneously Strong working knowledge of employee benefit programs and benefits compliance Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail and the ability to analyze complex data Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills Ability to work as a team player and influence cross-divisional teams Strong negotiation and vendor management skills focusing on metric/SLA monitoring, issue management, calculation and process reviews, and employee escalation. Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a face paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to form strong partnerships and develop collaborative relationships. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
