IT Consultant

We are seeking an energetic and talented IT Consultant to help us support our 80+ clients. We are a small IT consulting firm based outside of Boston that is looking to enhance the services we provide our clients with the right consultant. You will play a critical role as you implement new technologies and provide on-site support for our clients and work with our other field engineers. In this role you will have the opportunity to work on all aspects of our clients networks - - including servers, desktops, mobile devices, wireless access points, switches, firewalls, etc. - - and you will have plenty of opportunities to expand your knowledge while implementing various cloud-based collaboration solutions and virtualization technologies. The right candidate will not only have strong technical skills but also be able to manage client relationships and work with our clients to align their technologies with their business goals.Responsibilities:Perform on-site and remote support as necessaryThoroughly document and record all support incidents using our Autotask ticketing and CRM systemWork with the support desk and other field engineers to provide solutions for our clientsCoordinate client purchasing and scheduling needs with the Director of TechnologyRequirements:Expert Windows OS knowledge (Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10)Expert Internet technologies knowledge (browsers, IM, FTP, etc.)Expert desktop application knowledge (Office, anti-virus, anti-malware, etc.)Expert desktop/laptop hardware knowledgeAdvanced networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)Advanced Microsoft Exchange knowledgeAdvanced Microsoft server OS knowledgeAdvanced server hardware knowledgeMac knowledge a plus2-4 Years IT Consulting Experience?If you are interested in a challenging position with a dynamic and growing small business IT consulting company, please respond to this posting with a cover letter, your resume and your salary requirements. - provided by Dice

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
