Web UI Developer/Designer

What is this role?
We are looking for a talented and motivated web UI designer/developer who will work as part of a distributed agile team designing and developing applications for the SDL Contenta Publishing Suite.
Key Responsibilities
Support multiple SCRUM teams through applying an iterative user centered design process including:
Create design concepts and solutions for specified problems (sketches, wireframes, paper prototypes)
Iteratively test, validate, and refine design concepts and prototypes with users and internal stakeholders
Work out detailed design specification and documentation as input for development
Support multiple SCRUM teams during UI implementation in an agile software development environment
Align with other UX designers on design patterns, UI controls, best practices and related documentation
Contribute to UI development including:
Develop high-quality front-end code (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to implement web-based UI designs.
Achieve goals as part of a Scrum team in order to deliver functionality, enhancements, and fixes to QA for verification.
Build strong working relationships internally by demonstrating the team values in the Agile / Scrum process and collaborating cross-functionally to solve problems.
Be part of a continuous improvement atmosphere, proactively suggesting improvements to the development processes.
Minimum Requirements:
1-2 years of web development experience
1-2 years of experience in designing user experience for web based business applications
Experience in using visual user interface design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Photoshop, or Adobe Fireworks
Experience in compelling UX design concepts, mockups, wireframes, and prototypes using tools such as Axure, Invision or others
Strong knowledge of methods and techniques in information architecture, interaction design, and visual UI design in the context of responsive web applications
Good understanding of current web UI technologies, trends, and concepts
Experience with JavaScript, Java, REST, HTML5, CSS3, Ajax, jQuery, XML, XSL
Experience in an Agile development environment.
Team-player with strong interpersonal skills comfortable working as part of distributed team
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues in individual and group settings
Degree in Computer Science or related field
US citizen
Preferred Experience
Experience in publishing or content management experience
Experience with Jira/Confluence

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
