Senior Manager, Marketing Communications

WANTED: An experienced Marketing Communications professional who will drive the strategic vision and management of the marketing activities for a range of Virtual's clients. The ideal candidate will have a track record of oversight and implementation of outbound tech-focused communications, content development, and identification of new initiatives. Develop short- and long-term strategic marketing communications plans and budgets to support client initiatives
Oversee the daily execution of marketing plans, assure adherence and evaluate performance and metrics.
Serve as the primary point of contact for client communications/marketing team and senior leadership for presentation development, event strategy, and logistics.
Develop and nurture the relationships with client contacts to foster positive, long-term partnerships.
Create original content across multiple channels including email, social media, PowerPoint, flyers and web.
Build relationships with and oversee the day-to-day activity of contractors and vendors.
Develop, implement and monitor systems and procedures to ensure efficiency and quality in marketing communications operations.
Ensure the integration of the Marketing Communications department within the greater client services team, and ensure that the client services team optimizes its use of marketing communications services.
Oversee editorial direction, design, production and distribution of meetings/forum communications.
Serve as a key contributor in the execution of action items necessary to complete client projects.
Ensure consistent delivery of branding, messaging and quality across channels, including collaboration with the PR team.
Provide strategic counsel to clients on marketing communications activities.
Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes.
Maintain an appropriate professional and office organizational structure, foster a success-oriented, mutually respectful, accountable work environment.
Act as a collaborative team member within the organization.

Work with the Senior VP, Communications, on marketing-related business development for existing and prospective clients.
Management of Virtual internal staff/interns to include, if applicable
Additional Administrative Duties
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related field;
8-10 years of experience in marketing communications; agency or association experience preferred; Ability to understand technical content and be able to translate to multiple audiences of mixed backgrounds; Strong creative, strategic and sales skills and "rolled up sleeves" working style;
Superior written communication skills across various channels.
Detail-oriented, with strong, effective organizational, problem solving and time-management skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment;
Staff Management experience; experience leading cross-function teams a plus;
Must be a self-starter with ability to manage a team, demonstrate excellence in organizational management, work well under pressure, and work independently and as a strong team player with hands-on marketing skills;
Ability to manage staff hours to client budgets to ensure profitability targets are met.
Thinking outside of the box about ways to streamline everyday workflows;
Willingness and ability to travel as needed;
Strong computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office Suite; Marketing Automation Platforms (Emma, Constant Contact), Adobe Suite and CRM platform experience a plus.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
