We are currently seeking a full-time Director of Recreation. EMARC's Recreation Program is a community-based therapeutic recreation program that coordinates many types of youth programs and activities, and provides direct support as necessary. Successful candidates would possess a big-picture mindset, would enjoy building community partnerships and would be organized.
SHIFTS
40 hours per week, normally Monday through Friday. Applicants must be willing to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, oversee and evaluate a variety of year-round recreational and social programs, to include sports, the arts, social/leisure, outings, travel, life skills, special events and family programs.
Develop recreation and life skills activities for people with intellectual disabilities of all ages living at home, independently, and in residential programs.
Develop and maintain relationships and collaborative programming with existing community resources such as YMCA, municipal recreation departments, school systems, athletic clubs, faith communities.
Work cooperatively with families to identify need areas, locate resources and develop programs.
Responsible for all phases of grant writing, management and reporting along with financial oversight.
Community outreach to people with disabilities, their families, volunteers and other organizations.
Operate and organize activities in accordance with Special Olympics.
Responsible for public speaking engagements to help enhance the program in a variety of ways (financial, staffing, public education).
Coordinate Therapeutic Recreation Assessments as requested by school systems and in partnership with EMARC Transition Services.
Develop a network of community resources and volunteers for recreational programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing recreation/leisure activities for people with disabilities.
Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation Management required.
Driver's license and dependable transportation required.
Acceptable CORI report required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
