Java Web Developer
SDL is seeking a high performing Java Web Developer to join our dynamic software development team. We offer a fast-paced and exciting work environment, where multi-national teams using Agile/Scrum development are bringing the next generation publishing, online delivery, and social media integrations to market.
The Java Web Developer is required to understand and perform the full range of software development activities including design, development, testing, and implementation. This role requires strong experience with web development (it will focus on client side/UX development) and the capability to learn and tackle new and/or unfamiliar technologies and methodologies. Experience with large scale, enterprise systems and service oriented architecture are preferred, but not required. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills, will be comfortable working with teams located globally, and has a strong desire to grow professionally and be a voice of leadership in a collaborative environment. We are ultimately seeking a team-player who has a can do attitude who brings passion and personality to the group.
Technical Skills and Experience Required:
5
years of web development experience including Javascript and Java/JSP/Servlet development experience.
HTML5, CSS3, Ajax experience, jQuery, XML., XSL.
Experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server).
Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Experience in publishing or content management experience is preferred.
Service Oriented Architecture, RESTful services, Cloud Deployment.
Experience with C, C++, C# also preferred.
B.S. Computer Science or related field.
